Rep. Elect Haggerty Announces Office Staff Appointment

BOSTON – The Office of State Representative Elect Richard M. Haggerty has announced the hiring of Woburn native Anthony Langone as Legislative Aide upon assuming office on January 2, 2019.

“Anthony will be a terrific addition to our team and puts us in a great position to hit the ground running on day one. He knows our district and he knows the State House – he’s exactly what I was looking for,” said Rep. Elect Haggerty. “As a Veteran he has shown his commitment to our nation and as my Legislative Aide I am confident he will help me serve the people of Reading, Woburn and the Commonwealth.”

Langone is a product of Woburn Public Schools graduating from Woburn Memorial High School and earning a degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force. Langone served six years as a Security Forces Specialist in the United States Air Force, with tours overseas in Japan, Europe, and Africa before separating honorably. Currently he is pursuing a degree in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University and anticipated to graduate in 2020.

“It’s an honor for me to join Rep. Elect Haggerty’s team for his first term in office serving the citizens of Woburn and Reading,” said Langone. “I look forward to assisting with the needs of our constituents and helping pass legislation improving both these communities.”

Langone had previously worked under Representative James J. Dwyer towards the end of his final term in office in late 2018. The 2019-2020 Legislative Session begins in January.
